Anyone try RL 23 with 300 accubonds or ELDX?

Looks like it should work well as a substitute for RL22 but would like some feedback from those who have tried it.

Also have to try H4831(always seems slow) and H1000 (looks like it would be highly compressed with mag box length of 3.47)

H4831SC w 200 gr ELDX worked very well in a friends .300 WM recently. I don't recall the exact velocity, but there was certainly no reason to complain as he picked up 100+ fps over the factory Hornady Precision stuff he was using before.

What weight bullet?
I have had great results with 180 grain bullets ahead of IMR 4350.
RL 22 is also a go to powder with 165 or 180 grainers.

I shot 210 Berger’s and now 215 Berger’s in front of h4831sc and H1000. My h1000 and the 215’s .04” off is a compressed load at 76 grains.

I really like the H1000, it’s extremely temperature stable.

Sorry about the typo.

The original post should have said 200 grain accubond or eldx bullet.

I like 4350 for bullet weights 180gr and under and H1000 for anything over .... For a barrel burner load RL 26 and the 168 was pretty impressive....

I built a 300wm for the sole purpose of shooting 215 Bergers. I used a reamer designed for a lot of freebore and I also was using HS Precision DBM so I had a max length. My old 300 that I built off of was using H1000 powder and 215 Bergers and I was getting around 2850 FPS. For the rifle I built, I am using VV N570 and the 215 Berger and shooting right at 3100 FPS. Its a pretty warm load but it should be a hammer and its been extremely accurate. I didn't really even play ard with seating depth, mainly because I had a max length for the DBM and luckily that proved to be an accurate load. I am shooting a Proof 9.4 twist barrel.

Model 70 mag box so COAL limited and I suspect not enough room for H1000 or 215 Bergers.

Loaded up a test with H4831 and will see what it does first.

RL 23 next... just to see. It seems like it might be good in the 280 ai too.

Try the h1000. Over the years I've learne that compressed loads, as long as you work up to them, tend to have low es/sd and yield good accuracy. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I use 4831 SC in my 300 win mag. 180 Accubonds at 2960 fps out of a 24.5 in barrel. I’ve been really happy with this combo so far👍🏻

I have been running rl 22 following the nosler manual with the 200 gr AB and getting 3025 FPS out of 26 inch barrel. I know rl22 isn’t new but performs for me in everything.

76.5 H1000 over 200 ELDX has been good to me and my Tikka.

However, I’m looking for a recipe using H1000 and 180 Barnes TTSX. Any suggestions?

Tag. I'm working up loads with the 190 grain ABLR in a new Cooper Open Country LR LW. So far I'm getting the best velocity and Sub MOA with Magnum powder.

@FishfinderAK: I was getting approx. 2960 FPS with the 190 grainers at 78-79 grains H1000 (MAY NOT BE SAFE IN YOUR RIFLE).
