I'm looking at starting load development for a 180 gr accubond for my 300 wsm. The gun is a CA ridgeline with a 24 inch barrel. What temperature stable powders have guys had good luck with? Thanks!!!
My CA Carbon Classic in 300 WSM with Barnes 180 grain TTSX and Hodgdon H4831SC shoots 1 ragged hole at 100 yards and easily holds sub-half MOA at 300 if i do my part.
I have 4 -300wsm rifles-couple were finicky for sure but they all liked 63 grains of winchester 760 , 175 grn barnes bt long range, and federal mag primers
H4350 , rel 17, then h4831 tried 180 accubonds and 185 berger classic hunter the bergers shot 1/4 moa better than accubonds. Pushing them to 3086 fps with h4350
H4350 for me with Hornady 165 GMX. I started to run a test with Hybrid 100V, but got immediate pressure signs (sticky bolt) with my starting load out of the Nosler Manual. Very odd. I am in the process of rechecking my process. The Hornady manual Max load was much lower. Just saying if you are going to use the Hybrid 100V and the Nosler Manual start alittle lower than usual and move up slow. I was using 180 Accubonds for my test.
