The only reason to do this is recoil reduction imo. The "perfect" weight bullet in the 30-06 for ballistics is the 165 grain. The 130 speed is initially higher but it loses momentum/energy much faster than heavier bullets. That said, the 130 grain bullets will kill just fine inside of 300 yards but there really isn't any practical reason to do it as you really don't gain any advantages other than a little felt recoil vs the 150.Does anyone load up the 130 gr Accubond or Ballistic Tip for the 3006?
