I remember reading in a Nosler book, can't remember which one, that they brought out a flat nose Partition for the 30-30 just because people kept asking them too. The velocity of the 30-30 didn't make a Partition necessary, the standard bullets held up plenty well at that speed. I don't think the old 30-30 needs any sort of premium bullet unless a person is using the Leverevolution stuff for increased performance at distance.
