I’ve been pleased with it. Recoil is stiff but not unbearable, it’s right at 5 pounds naked and under 6 scoped.

How about the Hammers? I have some 186 Shock Hammers on the way for my 338 Fed.

Thats what I'm looking into as well. Running a 186 hammer or 175 CE. Would be really cool if Steve would turn out a 338 absolute hammer in the 180 weight class. Would be interesting to see what a guy could get for velocity, not having to worry too much about sectional density with a copper. Im getting 2950 with the 154 absolute in my 7/08 and guys are getting close to 3200 with the 151 absolutes in 30/06s. Imagine you could get close or over 3000 with the 338 version.
