What over the counter brand, load , grain do you suggest?

Check out Grizzly or Buffalo Bore ammo. Get something that uses a hard cast bullet with a large flat nose(metplat) anything weight from 240gr-330gr will do the trick. I like loading up 300gr loads for my 44's. They kick a little bit but are not uncomfortable to shoot like the heavier ones are. Do not use any of Buffalo Bores plus "P" loads in anything except a Ruger or Dan Wesson pistol, they are stout!
