56mm vs 44 mm: Benefits vs Issues

Is the benefit of a larger exit pupil in a 56mm greater than the downfalls of high scope rings? Or would a 44mm with medium scope rings be a fair compromise?

Bump im interested in first hand experience on this.

I have found that you just get accustomed to what you have. Currently several of my guns have 56’s with high rings and i don’t see a downside to the tall rings plus all the benefit of brighter glass.
