6.5-06 AI with Reloader 26

I just started load development with my 6.5-06 AI target rifle.

Specs:
28" McGowen barrel (120 rounds fired so far including fireforming)
Parent case is Lapua 30-06
Primer is CCI BR2
Powder is 58 grains of Reloader 26
Bullet is Hornady 147 ELD-M

I'm getting 3150 fps and sub .5 moa accuracy at 100 yards. This is the first load I tried and with a shoot coming up this Saturday I don't have time to do more testing. We'll see how it shoots at longer ranges and then I'll decide if I need more load development or not.

It will be interesting to see what I can get for maximum velocity with that long barrel.

On the flip side, my other one has only a 20" barrel so it will be cool to see the difference.

The rifle shot very well last Saturday at the small game competition. I ended up tied for third out of 34 shooters.
