What kind of speeds are getting out of your 6.5 PRC with 147 grain ELD M and RL26?
Im getting 2922 FPS. I tried going higher but the gun said no bueno.

This is out of a 24“ barrel.

I went out today and my barrel speed up a little bit from yesterday to today. I hit the 100 round mark. Everyone said it would. I didn’t believe them. I do now.

Very nice. I think the SAUM has a little more capacity than the PRC. The barrel being 3” longer helps with speed as well.
Yes you are correct. I was just saying that 2922 seems pretty good out of a 24' prc. I did get up to around 3150 before I got pressure signs but it wasn't as accurate.

I want to say it was Broz that was using N565 with the 156 and was just over 3k fps with a 24" barrel. Might be worth looking into as well.

Wow that sucker is moving. I may look into it. I don't have access to that powder at my local reloading store. I can get it an hour away but its nice to be able to go down the street and pick up a pound or two.

I also may try 4831 or 4831SC soon. RL26 is hard to get. I got the last three pounds they had last time i was in there. They always have the two mentioned above.

I don't know but I would guess Broz was extremely close to max also. And he had the bullet seated long so he had to single feed I believe.

I would guess RL 26 and N565 would be best velocity wise. Velocity doesn't equal accuracy though. Good luck finding the correct load for you.

That's pretty good speed for that short of a barrel on the PRC. I'm lucky enough to have a DCGS built 300 Win Mag. He builds some really accurate guns.

G'day from NZ
I thought I better contribute as I am always reading and gaining info from this forum.
I have a 20 inch Hardys steel barrel with a 8 twist
I am getting an avg 2950 with RL26 and the 147s
0.3 moa or better
So far I have shot 6 dear and 40 odd goats, seems to work well.
I will be switching to superformance as it has the same accuracy but an avg of 2988 and ES of 3.3
