I'm about to start filling cases with powder for the first round of load development on a 6.5 prc using berger 140gr elite hunters.

I know I can use H1000 data to start with. I'm looking for data using 140's and N565. Please include max load, and if you saw pressure signs. I'm looking to get some info to guide my initial powder charges, so I don't have to pull a bunch of bullets from cases way overcharged.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve read guys are starting at 53 going to 57 for the 156 Berger’s @ N656. So I would probably start at 54 work in 1 gr increments looking for pressure up to 58 gr or 59 gr.

I would also recommend calling Berger, I know they have load data for it.

there is also a 6.5 PRC Facebook Group that has a ton of load data.

I have really good luck with N565 on my 6.5 PRC, I found a good accurate note at 58.2 , it is a hot load , back it down to 57.5 and still shoot really well, I never try any other bullet than Berger 156 gr, good luck my friend.

Hey with your load at 58.2 did you notice any significant pressure signs? Have the same load but won’t be able to get out for a couple weeks
