They specifically call out the velocity for each brass type. Adg is 2960 fps and they also say on the website they are using H1000.

UM is using a 26" barrel in that test. That same ammo in my 22" barrel runs 2890.

I will let him tell ya what he is cooking up in the Mayhem Series. Its no secret. Its just quality components, done right and the best part is I don't have to load it. :)

N570 perhaps? Or N565, only two other powders that make vo like rl26. I haven't messed with the PRC a lot, but I just had barrel spun up for my Tikka. It's a 23.5" paradigm carbon 1:8. I've got some 135 atips loaded up for a pressure test tomorrow, 156 hit 3028 w/ a 58.3 gr load of RL26, but that was when there were only 70 rounds on the barrel. I've got about 150 now. Factory 143eldx loads were ranging from 3010-3050 in it today, 147 eldm were running 2980-3010 so its a fair bit faster than ammo has printed on the box.

Did you end up going with the Altus action? Which 22” barrel did you end up with for this rig? How do you like the action? Looking into this for a new custom 28 Nosler.

Yes, H1000 is used in our standard production loads. The Mayhem Series is using either Vihtavuori N565 or N570. We were recently setup as OEM manufacturers with them allowing us to purchase powder in bulk!

No its a Defiance UL action made to Precise Rifle Solutions specs. The barrel is a Proof SL 1/7 Twist.

It’s filled to the tippy top with N565 and it’s a screamer!

How many grains of N565 per load? I should be starting to work up a load on my 6.5 PRC here shortly. It has a 20" proof and am hoping to hit that 2900 mark as some others have. If only I didn't live in Alaska(don't say that often) I would probably order some ammo up from you guys. I did email in about using your brass service and will most likely be doing that. Hate brass prep.

I tested 156 bergers(18 off) w/ N570 cci 250 today, ran from. 57-61gr in 0.5 steps, 2790-2988 w/ no real pressure signs cept flattening primers 23" barrel. Case was pretty full w/ slight crunch but there is room for more. Also ran 135 atips(30 off) w/ rl26 from 56-61gr in 0.5, it toppep out @ 3320fps, but was hot. There was a flat spot @ 3280 and 3220, kinda difficult to tell half grain steps in this small of a case.

Work up from 56, you might get as high as 60 with minimal pressure 💪🏻

N570 is too slow for that capacity. I tested N565 right along side N570 in 300 WSM and N565 was the clear velocity winner.
