Near completion. Pulling 60 lbs @ 26" right now. Should shoot in to about 58 lbs @27" my draw length.

Very nice work so far. That should be a good quick bow with the reflexed limbs.

I shot a selfbow many years ago and killed several deer with it. The bug didn't bite me like it does some guys, and I moved on from it.

I hope to get it completely finished and hunt with it this year. Trying to spine test which arrow it likes best. It seems to like a 50-55 cedar 29.5" best. That is with a 125 grain tip though. My broadheads are heavier so I ordered a glue on field tip set from 3 Rivers.

I have found it's good to have a wide selection of wood arrows in various spines because getting the correct shaft for a selfbow can be a little mysterious especially with varying rest/arrow pass designs. I never cut a shelf in my selfbows probably because I don't trust my bowmaking skills.

So far so good on this one. I'd ordered some bamboo shafts from Khan's Arrows out of San Antonio, supposed to be a lot better than the stuff available from Amazon. He weighs and spine tests then sorts each shaft.
