for you guys running .224 caliber either on targets or game/predators, have any of you tried the 64 grain sierra tipped game king yet? I have been running the 69 tmk on coyotes from an ar platform and have really liked the results i get with them. Recently I had seen that Sierra had kicked out the 64 tgk and haven't heard much about them yet. I ordered a box and they should be here this week, I plan to compare velocities (for now) with similar charges to the 69 tmk, then i will take them out and see how they do on coyotes and see how well they lay dogs down.

Got my 64 grain tipped game kings in today, here is a comparison pic with 64, 69tmk and 77tmk left to right

Will be trying these soon in the 22 grendel to see how they compare

I never really got the 77 to shoot out of my 22 grendel, but probably didn't give them much of a chance, the 69's were shooting really well so I stuck with them. Recently I got a bunch of 64 tgk's and loaded a bunch up after playing with charge and oal and have had some great groups out of them. I was running them hard at 3440fps and on dogs they seemed explosive.
Now I have a bunch of the 60 tmk's, same b.c. as the 64 tgk, going to see if they are now quite as explosive at near the same speeds since the 69 tmk's were great bullets on dogs. No blow ups, no runners, just laid them out rite then from 50 to 475 yards.
I am hoping the tgk is the flaw in the bullet performance on dogs, they say the bearing surface is the same as the 69 soo....

Headed to the range now to shoot some 60's

I have a 22-250 with 1-12 twist that i'm interested in trying the 60 gr tmk . My gun stabilizes the 60 gr vmax no problem but i know the tmk is longer than that. I push the vmax at around 3425 fps behind a load of imr 4064. not super fast but very accurate. I only have a 22" barrel so i know im not maximizing the 22-250 potential but its easy to get in an out of the tractor and its a beater gun.
