I just had a kimber Montana rebored to 338 Federal and it thumps pretty good. I’d like to get a break to use for practice and load work ups.

Does anybody make a break beside the kimber that has 7/16x28 threads? I could get the kimber but then I’d still have to pay to have it machined out to accommodate the 338.

Should I just get an adapter to 5/8 and go that route?

Anybody have a spare kimber radial break they would cut me a deal on?

Thanks,
Chase

I got mine from the above mentioned. Gave him my muzzle diameter and he turned it so it matches.

7/16-28 threads on a .338 bore? Not this ol’ fat kid. 9/16 maybe?

It was the factory 7/16-28 thread on a kimber Montana 7mm-08 I had rebored to .338 fed

I was worried about it too but JES reboring said it was good to go.

I looked at the muzzle brakes and more site and I don’t see how you order.

Also what is the process for timing the side port brakes, I’m assuming I would have to use a gunsmith? I might just go for a kimber radial and have it opened up.

Thanks,
I think I’ll look for a kimber brake and if I can’t locate one I’ll order up a mini beast 3 port
