168 Berger Classic Hunters. Very accurate. Kills elk faster than any other bullet I've ever used. Try them with H1000.

We have had very good success with the 160gr Accubond on lots of deer and hogs, and several elk. Very accurate also, shoots about .6-.7" groups out of a Browning A-bolt with reloads.

I shoot 168 vlds and 175 vlds out of my 9 twist 280 ai. With the extra horsepower of the 7 mag I would be shooting a 180 class bullet or heavier if you have the twist to stabilize it.

I have killed critters with everything from 120 nosier ballistic tips to Berger 168’s. And everything in between. The one common theme has been the same rife.

Although "lead" the 160 gr Accubond has proven to be quite an elk killer at good conscience ranges

140 ttsx. It's all in the shot placement. Bullet in my last elk hit the inside of the opposite hide and stayed there. One shot kill.
I've liked 140 class too but I'll say that the difference on impact between 140 and 160 beyond 200 yards is noteworthy
