Wondering if anybody has tried it yet, good results, bad, or meh?
Running 160 Accubonds through a Tikka. Was doing all right with Retumbo, but no luck getting that lately.
Grabbed a can of IMR 8133, and a can of IMR 7977, see what they might do..

I'm going to follow this thread. I have both powders, but haven't tried either in 7 mag. After struggling to find H1000, I finally broke down and tried some Reloder 22 over the weekend. Slower than H1000, but the accuracy was comparable.

You could go to the Hodgdon data site and compare.
They claim 8133 tops H 1000, and basically everything else, by a full 200 fps in every bullet weight.

8133 is quite slow. You may get good velocity but the pressure curve once you get out of a certain window doesnt allow for optimum accuracy. H1000/Retumbo has been my go to for that case class. Out of the 2 you listed, I’d start with 7977

I've tried this powder for a little while in my 7mag last April-June. 70 grains got me ~2925fps with Berger 175 EH's. Groups were good and averaged in the .6's out of my Christensen Ridgeline with some that were smaller than .5". Hit pressure at 72.5 grains at about 3075fps in nosler brass. From 50 to 80 degrees velocities remained pretty stable (low of 2915, high of 2936), although that's not a very large temperature range.

The Ridgeline barrel seemed to get dirty pretty quickly and accuracy fell off so I moved on to a different powder. I also ran it in my Sako Finnlight with 162 ELDXs to ~3000fps, accuracy was just ok so I moved on from it in that gun too. It's been awhile so I'm pulling this from my shooting log. I don't think it's a bad powder to try if your looking to mess around.

Hope this helps.
