This past weekend I met some relatives at Zapata falls campground in Colorado. Seven of us hiked up Ellingwood point, a 14'er in the southern end of the Sangre de Cristos. I saw 6 rams on the way down. Three were way off and these three happened to be close enough for a decent picture.
At first glance I thought the one on the left was a big eue. Then my ball sack started to itch bit and I figured out he's just a smaller ram.
Great photos. Love that high country. I'm starting to feel guilty telling my wife about how great it is to get up there while she holds down the fort with the kids. Can't wait to take her back packing up there when they get a little older.
