Has anyone added a propane burner to their current wood stove setup? I have an old LP Smoker sitting around I could steal a burner off of and mount on my wood stove and it would be vented and not have the moisture issue in my tipi. Has anyone done this or have any insight?

That’s a horrible idea. A smoker burner isn’t made for use indoors. Even in a wood stove. I had a friend pass away in his sleep trying to use a small propane bbq to heat their tent. The flame went out 2/3 died and the one who survived has very limited brain function.

Sure the stove has a chimney, made to exhaust gasses and fumes when heated. If that burner goes out in the night unnoticed it’s a serious risk. Propane is heavier than air. It won’t go up the chimney without enough heat and a proper set up

I got the idea from looking a Nu-Co stoves. Guess I'd be better off buying one than macguyvering one together
