Have a Cooper 52 in 280 Ackley what are the recommendations for synthetic stock, currently setting in wood stock.

I have a Magpul Hunter 700 stock for my 308 and I love it!

Cooper will fit one of their synthetic stocks to your barreled action - price is fairly reasonable. Have not done it myself - at least yet. I have a M52 in .270 with a very nice wood stock I don't like hunting with in the rain. Might go this direction.
