I run one of my 300 win mag and love it. Still very light at 31oz but the palm swell and cheek height is great for me. Would highly recommend. If need a little lighter, go with the mesa precision stock made by AG.

I called the factory and its there most popular stock. I decided to go with it on a 6.5 prc rifle that is being built by Mike at Hells Canyon Armory

I have Mike building my 300WSM on the AG Alpine as well. Everything I have read and researched has been positive. Hoping I like it! But, I don't think you'll find much bad out there on it and its a safe choice.

Was going to ask the same thing as Mike is building me a 6.5 saum as a pack rifle on a tikka. I have always been fond of he Macmillan hunter with edge but mike recommended and it reminded me of the a5 mcmilan which was comfy so excited to try it

Yup just to update I really like the stock on my lightweight 300wm. Very comfortable shooting prone and make for a great long range stock. Mike built me a very nice rig.

I have been very happy with my Sportsman. Shown here with my custom 300nm.

Just put the adjustable Hunter on my 300WM. Stock is top shelf in every aspect.

Have an alpine hunter on my left hand tikka 280ai and absolutely love it. Shot my buddies 300 rum with the alpine hunter and I was sold.

Can anyone share their experience with the standard Alpine Hunter or Adjustable Alpine Hunter with regards to stock height and proper cheek weld?

I'm looking to build a rifle on one of the stocks using a 5-25x56 Leopold Mark 5, I'm leaning towards the Adjustable but I sure would be up for saving 8oz if it's not needed.

@Twitch & @gkempf tagging both of you as it sounds like you have first hand experience.

Thanks.

I don’t have an adjustable as you can see but still very comfortable to shoot. Played with eye relief until it was good for me!

Late on this but the AG Alpine Hunter is my favorite stock, close second would be the EH1 by Manners. Culling out all my McMillans for AG’s.
