AGC Harness Fitting - Straps Too Big?

Has anyone ran into fitting issues with the AGC Bino Harness? I’m 5’10”, 159 lbs and picked up a AGC Classic X50 MAX for my Meostar 12x50s. The pack is great, but I’ve run out of travel on the upper buckles and I can’t seem to get the harness high enough on my chest to remove some slack. I’m willing to modify as needed, just wondering if anyone else has ran into sizing issues with the straps. Thanks!

Mine fits sort of the same way. I kinda got used to it. I’d refined going to a dry cleaners that has a seamstress and having them unstitch the straps and sewing them a little further up to get it tighter Bc there is plenty of room to back off

Same issue here and we are about the same size.
You kind of get used to it but on the occasional high step that my knee hits it is annoying

Im 5'-10 also. Tightening up the lower strap will help keep it up also. If you cant get there, all you can do is swap out the front buckles for a tri-slide. May need to double stack a pair of tri-slides to get them to keep from slipping.

I would definitely like it to fit high and tight on my chest, but it looks like it’s supposed to fit a little lower than that. Some dudes look like they’ve got it strapped to their bellies...

I’m pretty similar in build to you. I replaced my upper buckles with ladder locks and the lower buckles with Kifaru auto locks. Got mine to sit up a good bit higher.

I replaced my upper buckles with kifaru k-clips to shorten it by 1.5" or so.

I actually replaced the whole harness with the Marsupial. I also used the Kifaru K Clips (black plastic accessory in the pic above) to attach the straps to the bag portion of the set up. I am guessing you would get the extra rise you're looking for using the K Clips.

Between the Marsupial harness and Kifaru K Clips I can get the whole set up very high on my chest. If you do a search you can find where other guys switched out or modified their AGC harnesses.

Here are some pictures of my AGC pouch using the Marsupial harness and Kifaru K Clips. You can get this setup very high on your chest if that’s what your looking for.

Thank You very much for the pics. I was wondering how you utilized the K clips. Nice!

Here is mine with the ladder locks. Basically the same idea as the k-clips.

I’ve read the marsupial straps are more comfortable than the ACG. My focuses the weight of the harness on the top portion of the back strap.

Thanks guys for posting pics, exactly what I was looking for. JDB’s Frankenstein harness looks awesome!
