They can really reach maximum dumbness that first week of October. We usually hunt earlier in Sept for much less smelly bulls though, so there is that consideration also.

Apr 2, 2019 #4 H Hudge FNG Joined Mar 22, 2019 Messages 42 The last ten days. The last time we were out hunting caribou a few years back on an extended season, we saw rutting bulls quite often. Just a week before nothing. If I remember it was about 22 Sept. we saw the action.
