I’m leaving for Alaska in September for a moose hunt. I was talking with out fitter yesterday and he strongly recommended a 400 gram insulated or better pac boot with removable liner. We will be on horses and of course hiking but not sheep country type hiking. My concern is my feet sweat pretty bad. However I’m from Alabama and I’ve never done anything like this.

AnY suggestions on what boot to wear. I was wearing my crispis until talking with him yesterday.
Thank you

I have never been, but that doesn't sound good to me. I would wear 400 gram Crispi's. with some extra socks maybe. Pack boots suck for hiking.
