Anyone have recommendations for an Alaska fishing package?

This is for a possible honeymoon trip. For her sake, would like a decent cabin to stay in with a lodge if possible.

We would want to fish for halibut, salmon, and whatever else.

Thanks for any ideas!

I'm gonna say $5k (not including airfare).

Of course, staying under that would be ideal.

My buddy uses this charter every year out of Valdez and kills the halibut. There are B&B's, cabins and hotels in town.

Thanks for recommendations guys. Does anyone know about Alaska's COVID policies? I see where you need to provide negative test results upon entry. Test must be within 72 hours of entry.

Are they being strict on this? Anyone have any real world experience?

I’ve never fished with Rob in Ak but shared many days on the river with him when he guided Wa. One of the few guides who didn’t annoy the piss out of me. In fact he’s a super easy guy to like. He’s a great story teller and one of the hardest working guides I know. This is a great recommendation!

Total. I can slide up a scale from there but would prefer not to. I'd like it to be a 5-7 night trip.

I believe the packages are three days which is based off possession limits and how many fish boxes they can stuff in a 737.

Go early and either hike or fly into an alpine lake with a FS cabin for the first few nights. Rough it the first half of the trip and lap of luxury to end it.

I’ve never done this but it’s on my bucket list that I’ll be checking off shortly.

Now that's an idea! I like it. Best of both worlds.

A DIY trip to the kenai peninsula would be a great choice..

I can give you a huge list of places to go and check out..

Lots of fun to be had for that budget.

Another vote for Rob at princeofwalessportfishing.
We have been fishing with him for years, and will be with him in his boat in 10 days. Can't wait!
