Does anyone have any load experience with RL 33 and .300 RUM especially with 200 gr accubonds? I can’t find any min or max data. I load for four .300 ultra mags and my one is finicky with my old standby RL 25.

https://forum.nosler.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23219 Here's some quickload data. I've used RL-25 for a long time. Sometimes Retumbo. I like the old standbys. You might try some Retumbo, I think it is really close velocity wise to RL-33. I'd give some N570 a try if I could find it. There's also a few threads on LRH you might want to look at. mtmuley

Bought a pound of Retumbo and a pound of RL33 for my Fierce Carbon Titanium .300 ultramag as it was a little finicky with 200 gr accubonds.

Any way if anyone is curious I loaded Retumbo three rounds each loaded one grain increments 91 gr to 95 gr my book max for testing with 200 gr
Accubonds.

Best group Retumbo was 92 grains 3012 average velocity and very close velocity I might add very impressive. 1/4 moa 100 yds .

93 gr Retumbo also excellent cloverleaf 3026 FPS average.

94 gr Retumbo spread everything to hell 1 moa.

95 gr Retumbo tightened back up two shots almost in one hole third shot half inch out. 3130 FPS real close velocity on all shots.

Now for the RL 33 I loaded from 95 gr to 99 gr as I thought 100 would be too high and I was wrong.

RL 33 loaded with 95 grains only yielded 2840 FPS with 2 in group.

RL33 tightened way up with 96 grains two rounds one hole third quarter inch off but only 2880 FPS but very close velocity in all shots.

97 to 99 gr were respectable half in moa with 99 gr averaging 3000 FPS and no pressure signs at all.

I know I can get 100 gr and 101 easily now in RL 33.

The Retumbo did give a little tighter group and higher velocity all in all impressed with both powders for this rifle.

I load for three other 300 ultra mags and those all love RL 25.

These were all loaded to mag length 3.685 oal.

28 degrees shooting conditions and windy.

Great information PA. I just picked up the same rifle myself and just starting load development, actually just finished break in last weekend. Sounds like I should try some retumbo and RL33. I do have h1000 on hand may give that a try as well. Id like to find a load for the 200gr accubond.

V 570 is so far above everything else but I expect to see a unicorn before I see anymore of that. I'm having good grouping and speed from Retumbo and RL 25. RL 33 seems to leave my barrel VERY dirty and I don't get the velocity that I get with the others.

Right now I have some rounds loaded with h1000, hope to get to the range this weekend. I’m also trying some 190ablr that a buddy gave me to try but I hear they are finicky

Not to derail the original post but I was wondering if anyone has tried the R33 in the 300 RUM but with Berger 210? Also what brass are you guys using. I've seen big differences in charge loads from just different brass. I know that 92 grains of Retumbo in Bertram brass with a Berger 210 is pushing it, but if using RP brass I have room to go up. Also are you getting tight groups with the Accubond? My wife's 300 WBY does great the 200 grain Accubonds but I can't get any decent groups with them in my RUM or my 300WM. Thanks for the help gang

I have 3 .300WM's and 2 .300WSM's that I can throw an Accubond more accurately than those rifles will shoot them but I have a .300RUM that loves the 180 Accubonds???????
Yes, different breeds of cases do make a difference.
