I finished this up a couple of months ago. When starting this out, I had a couple of designs sketched up and this is the one that Casey at MTN OPS agreed to. It’s supposed to look like a revolver six shooter with a cedar tree turning into a bullet being loaded into it. I think it turned out pretty cool. Here is the process. First is the base out of walnut and A LOT of sanding on a cedar tree

Next I cut out a portion of the tree to turn the bullet on the lathe

Then glue the bullet back onto the tree and get the base ready for the tree and tops of other bullets

Next I laser engraved the bullet tops and some staining

Now it was ready for the spray booth

Before putting clear on, I had to spray an amber shellac on the bullets to give it that brass look

Then 5 coats of clear

I hope you enjoy. I’m in the middle of a couple others right now that are going to be really cool!
