Hey guys I get mixed results from all the charts/software and trust some of you guys more. Currently shooting a Halon 32 6 50-60# maxed at 62# 27.5" draw 75% mods. Axis 400 at 27.25 with 16grn insert 100 grn head 3 fletch max stealth standard x nock. Planning to up my front weight to around 175grn and can't decide on 340, 300 or stick with the .400 spines that I already have. Also plan to buy a 70# backup bow soon and would like to shoot the same arrow setup through both if possible. Thanks in advance.

You could easily shoot a 340 at that cut length and tip weight . I’ve done that set up for several guys with good results. Even at 70+ pounds

340 you should be fine, but it's not going to hurt to be heavier. Might have trouble finding 300's right now.

You can definitely use the same arrows if you just swap the tip weight at the higher draw weight.

Thanks for the help, any disadvantages to running the .300's even with the 60# bow other than losing some fps or is the .340 a better setup for my specs?

I used 300 spine on 62# @ 29". I just put weight on the front to break the spine down. The disadvantage is the loss of fps, but you will have a more durable arrow. I sometimes shoot a 300 spine indoors at 50#, again just load the front with weight. You might find it's easier to tune the stiffer arrow as well.

Alright think I'm going to order some 340s and see how they fly, thanks again.
