Have a question.

I called to relocate my satellite dish due my neighbor‘s large tree causing a signal loss. Neighbor will not cut tree. So I asked the tech to move it around the house to an open area. He informed me that the dish needs to stay close to the control/cable box at the house. I’m talking maybe 80 feet of cable needed to relocate. He said no go.

Is this true, or did I get a lazy tech that didn’t want to work today?

I thought about moving it myself, but I don’t have a meter to realign the dish to the correct elevation and azimuth.

Red X shows current location of dish.

its a non standard location but not a deal breaker. Just call every day complaining about loss of service. complain that the tech came out and did not fix the service problems. offer no why on the problems or solutions let them fix it on their own.
