Any of you guys hammock camp?

I tried hammocking for a season. It wasn't horrible. But, I couldn't find anything that hammocking did better than a regular UL tent did. It does some things almost as well. But, does nothing better IMO. For taking an hour nap in the back yard. Sure. For taking it out into the backcountry and depending on it for a week. Not for me. It does have a following. So, some folks must like it. But, it was lost on me.

I use WBBB double layer. Hammock system weighs more than a good ground system. Hammock system is invaluable if you are in an area with no flat ground. Hammock system is useless in J&P. I use a WB Yeti 3/4 underquilt paired with a thinlight foam pad between the hammock layers. I put my glassing pad in the footbox to keep my toes warm.
