Anybody using Chota Hippies?

I’m getting geared up for an Alaska trip, and the transporter recommended these over chest waders. Also looking for some fairly supportive wading boots. My ankles are pretty much shot

Is/has anyone used these things? They look like they’d work for a lot of smaller stream crossings
