Looking to get started in a new hobby.
Currently have a nikon d3100 and a sony a6500

Strongly considering the fujifilm xt4
Looking for middle of road gear..something I can grow into vs pure beginner

Looking for advice on telescopes, trackers and soft ware.

Always been fascinated with Mars , Saturn, Neptune and andromeda if this matters for gear selection

Built his own telescopes. Ground the mirrors himself. Lathed his own gears for astrophotography, etc, etc.
Contact him and I’m sure you’ll get all the info you can handle.

Does anyone have a better contact method than Facebook. I don’t have an account and my gf reached out with no luck

There are techniques to get your exiting equipment to take night sky pictures.
But if you want to really reach out, you might start here Celestron_phone_adapter , snoop around, and figure out how much you want to spend. Telescopes, trackers, and catalog/tracker software through those guys. There are other apps for postprocessing digital astro pics.

I'd recommend checking out astromart and cloudy nights, there are some great people over there.

What are your basics as of now?

Telephoto vs landscape?
Good tripod?
Remote shutter is highly advised
And if you want to do many star spirals some of the photo editing software will change your life! Time lapse at every 10 minutes, etc...

Much like anything the specifics of what you want to do in astrophotography will dictate your needs.
