Looking to change out the green stock on my Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor. Only place I can find that makes stocks is Boyd’s but they don’t really do a cameo stock they are all wood grain. I’d like a camo one. Anyone know of a place that makes these?

I’ve also considered hydro dipping but not sure about longevity etc. Any info on this?

Once clear coated, durability of hydrodip is no different than the finish on a vehicle. I have dipped a couple of bowe and it has held up great. And i am rough on gear.

I painted mine using the sponge method and like the results - super easy

You could also Look Into doing a cerakote coating on the stock and barrel I have seen some really nice ones if you are happy with the current stock

That looks awesome. I’d love that paint job. I’ll look into the sponge method. Never heard of it before.

Took everyone’s advice and pulled off the stock and did the sponge camo method. I bought 4 of these Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor’s for Christmas. One for me my two sons and my son in law. They are all super happy. We had Christmas early because I’m a Fireman and will be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so we opened presents early. We went out and shot them the the other day and sighted them in. This is a fantastic shooting gun.

Here is mine after my Camo job.

@lacofdfireman Sorry for bringing up an old thread. New here.. I love how your stock turned out and I was hoping you could share what paint you used, if you could remember? And how has it held up over time? Have been searching the web trying to find a pattern I like and yours takes the cake! Very well done.

Thanks!
