Anyone packed in the Snowies or Madres of Wyoming?

If I draw a general elk tag this year I'd like to hunt the Sierra Madres in southern Wyoming. I've snowmobiled there for the last 10 years and I'm familiar with many of the areas but I've never been there in the other times of the year. I'd like to take a lead horse and a couple of my mules out to pack but didn't know if there are pack trails through there or if it'd be all bushwackin'? Anyone tried? Thanks.

Thos wilderness areas arent very big. If you plan to pack a camp in, you'll probably be camped where the elk were or push them out on the way in and not have much country left to hunt. Day riding would be different.

Very few established trails, so would mostly be bushwhacking.

even if there is a trail the beetle kill is incredible, your chain saw is going to be much more important than your weapon... and 5-10 tanks of gas.
