I don't know man. That looks like how those coats are supposed to fit. They're designed to open the cuffs and waste so you can draft air upwards to reduce condensation. If it's too tight form fitting you can't get that airflow. I'd keep that thing if I were you.

For winter use, for sure. For lightweight backpack hunting, I prefer a more fitted jacket. I bought it for sheep hunting, but it’s just a bit too much of a winter specific fit. It’s a great jacket though. Someone will get many years of use out of it.

Hello, what is the pit zip - pit zip measurement (Laid Flat & Zipped)?also need the Shoulder seam - Shoulder seam (Laid Flat from back side of jacket) I am 5' 7" but have broader shoulders...and 34" waist..I may need a size Medium?? Thanks

I just received a Sitka Stormfront in size small to compare to this. The Stormfront is surprisingly similar to the Alpha SV, except for one crucial fault. The Stormfront has over built pit zips that are super stiff and press up into your armpits. So if anyone is wondering, this jacket fits much better and has slightly more room than the Stormfront.
