Are Utah Deer archery dates good?

Hi all, I’m looking at most likely be panguitch lake archery hunt this year. Although I’m looking all over. Early August , Will bucks be high ? Bachelor up? Velvet? How will things look at the start of the hunt August 15th and end in September? I’ll mostly likely have 7 days in the unit.I don’t generally road hunt, I like to hike and glass. What’s a key to success in this unit? My experience in Utah is rifle deer and archery antelope. I know roads and Atvs are everywhere. . Thanks for any insight.

Up high bachelor groups in velvet when it starts

The early start date is nice. Gives me a good amount of time with the deer still in their summer habits before they start to lose me in the timber. The two bad things are that it is so dang hot and the days are extremely long. The heat keeps the deer movement down and more limited to early morning and late evening and the long days leave you with a lot of down time in between the two.
