Building up a set of Easton Axis match grade 300 spine for a 70# Realm with 28.5" DL. Carbon to carbon shaft length is 28", 20 grain for lighted nock, blazer vanes with 4" wrap, brass HIT insert, and 25 grain iron will collar. Planning to shoot 100 grain heads but may do 125s. Stuck on the decision whether to use the full 75 grain brass HIT or break it off to make it 50 grains.

Ran through Archers Advantage and it shows optimal spine but it's on the weak end of the spectrum. Any concerns or experience with this setup and how accurate AA is?

Surprised that it said it was weak with both a lighted knock and a wrap at the back. I'm guessing it will tune fine though. That's not really that much weight up front and i know plenty of people that have tuned that arrow with similar components

I’m shooting your arrow with same draw but cut a half inch shorter (27.5) with 50gr up front, a 100 grain Iron Will vented BH, 5” wraps, 3x AAE Max Stealth (heavier than your vane), and Nockturnals. It weighs in at 505gr and tuned way easy out of a 66lb bow. 125 BH and 75 up front is going to make one burly arrow...

There was an OT2 thread on here that a member was running numbers for guys who posted their components and specs on it. Might search for it. I had him run my numbers for me. Might be a confirming comparison.

Looks weak to me with 200 up front

My setup is somewhat similar, 29 dl, 27" carbon, 300 axis, 50 brass, 4 Fletch heat, x nock, no wrap, 100 head and I'm at optimal, to slightly stiff @73 lbs

Entered your setup, marginal weak. With that much up front, maybe go to .260

OT2 has you slightly stiff with a 100gr head, 50gr insert on Hunting mode. 28.5" arrow is dead center. Target & Hunting mode is dead center with a 29.5" arrow.

Use a 75gr insert 100gr head and its slightly weak in Hunting mode. Use a 27.5" arrow and its dead center. Target & Hunting mode is dead center with a 28.5" arrow.

Thanks guys. Went with 75gr insert. Will adjust shaft length if need be. Also think i'm going to try feathers instead of vanes. Maybe 4 fletch rayzr style feather.

Both of those things weaken the dynamic spine. If you have trouble tuning, it's likely because the shaft is too weak at stated length.
