I figured it would be fun to make a thread where people can show off their arrows. Custom or stock doesn't matter. List up the specs as well. I just photoed mine of the counter top on a black T-shirt to help the colors pop. Would like to see what everyone else is building and shooting. Trad arrows welcome  .

My arrows. Custom built by me. Gold tip pierce platinum 300 spine. .166 Shafts cut to 29.5". With gold tip half out and ballistic collars. Firenock lighted green nock with firenock green nocks. Q2i Fusion XII 2.1 vanes in a 4 fletch with 1 degree right straight offset. 3 green and one pink. Custom 7" reflective wraps. Iron will 100 grain field tips and Iron will 100 grain wides. Total arrow weight 484 Grains.

I don't really get much into making my arrows fancy anymore. Here is what I got.

Flex Fletch Sk-300 glow in the dark. I do all 3 vanes same color anymore. Use a wrap on the sk-300 and it brings my fletching weight up to equal my 3" fusion vanes.

Use these for some of my hunting arrows. Everything else is really mundane.

Is there a difference in performance if your shooting stock box store arrows compared to custom arrows? I normally shoot blazers with slick trick fixed blades.

Can be. But normally as long as you are shooting straight arrows there's plenty of other things to worry about first. It can be hard to find some of the straighter arrows prefletched. The straightness has been the largest influence I have found in broadhead accuracy assuming you have enough vane to steer the arrow. 3 Blazers should be giving you enough steer for most broadheads.

Mostly it comes down to having an arrow assembled exactly like you want. The color and type of fletching profile of your choice, wrap etc.

Just had new Rokslide sponsor BTE whip up a dozen Vap SS 300’s. Used my components for the Valkyrie System. 182g up front for a total of 475. They are cooking come out of the PSE CSM1 A0C7BD0B-4F26-40AB-B628-8A5A13D0389E.jpeg628F538D-B71B-4406-8FD6-937160C204E2.jpeg139F661E-0839-4F27-9747-8E4AB4C88489.jpeg

Really, no. But it can depend. Here are the things you can achive with building your own. Keep with a straightness tolerance. You can pick the color of your components. You can add wraps to add weight or reflectiveness. Most all factory fletchings come in a 3 vane. If you want 4 vane you mostly have to do it yourself. Allows you to run a different vane then the factory uses. You can also build up the front end with inserts and collars and many different components. Also you can change manufactors on the nock brand. If you shoot the vane off an arrow and you built them its no big deal to refletch. Also most factory squaring jobs leave some to be desired. Getting a perfectly square nock and insert does have some performance benefits. So does building your arrows to a tight grain tolerance variance between the arrows.

If you like to tinker, want to super tune your bow (I hate that saying) and have OCD arrow building is for you. It can help you wring that last 5% of performance out of your setup. If your shooting mechanicals at 40 yards 3 weeks a year. not so much benefit.

The sk-300 in daylight. It doesn't glow, just looks like an off neon green. Camera is just showing it a little different.

Some parabolic phantom vanes on acc outdoor arrows:

Grabbed a few arrows from a quiver on one of my sticks:

I guess the light is coming in weird and messing with the pictures. But I'm not messing with it anymore.
