What is the recommended arrow weight for elk? I'm currently shooting 23/64" 45/50 spine cedar arrows with a 125gr. tip out of a 45lb kota voyager. I know it's plenty of arrow for the whitetails and mule deer in ND, but what about elk? I've always been a fan of the traditional side, so I'd like to stick with the cedar, but if it won't work for elk I'll have to look for a different arrow. Any thoughts?

I guess I should have looked a few threads down for my answer. I'll change things around now a bit. How many of you hunt elk with cedar arrows?

I've only been once and shot a cow with Douglas fir and bear greenies. Don't see cedar being an issue. I highly recommend surewood shafts. Heavy straight and durable douglas fir.
