Athlon Ares G2 15-45x65 vs Gen 1 Razor 11-33x50

I thought I wanted the 11-33 but just realized that I think the reticle eye pieces do not work with them.

I have access to new Athlon Ares G2 scopes (15-45x65) for ~500$; is the razor appreciably better than the ares?

Supposedly the glass quality between the two is basically equal. The difference is the Athlon will be bigger than the small razor, but it's still smaller than the Razor that's (roughly) the same magnification.

That's a killer price on that little Athlon spotter. You wouldn't be disappointed.
