Athlon Optics Argos 2-12 and Heavy Recoil?

Hi All,

Looking for a scope for my bolt action slug gun and the Athlon Argos 2-12 fits the bill in the magnification and reticle department. My concern is can it stand up to the heavy recoil of a 12 gauge bolt action slug gun? For a sub 200 yard gun I prefer not to spend too much money on glass but I don't want to buy something that's going to fall apart on me. Anyone have experience with these scopes on high recoiling rifles?

Not high recoiling but I’ve had no issues on a 308.

Thanks , think I'll just give it a shot. Camera Land has a good sale going on them too so that helps the decision.

I have (2) 2-12 and (1) 4-20 on 308,6.5C,and 223. I’ve dialed all of them with no issues. No issues with illumination, zoom, parallax either. Also no issues with Cameraland. . Good luck.
