Avenza maps

I just came across Avenza and downloaded the free motor vehicle usage map. It was very basic, black and white, but helpful for road access.

They have specific hunt unit maps, around $12 or so per unit (in Idaho)

Has anyway purchased and used these? I'd like to know how they compare to Onx, and what, if any features they have that Onx doesn't.

I run avenza for the MVUM and Onx for my hunting. I did not like the avenza UI for the couple of maps I did download and pay for. Onx is much more useful to me, when I make sure to download the maps prior to leaving town. But the MVUM is great because it is super easy to use and still locates you on the map. Not all open roads are displayed in the MVUM in my forest jurisdictions - Idaho Panhandle. Coeur d alene and St Joe areas.
