AZ Unit 3C Late Rifle Help

Hello All,

My father in law is assisting a buddy that drew a late Nov / Early December rifle tag for elk in 3C. They did a scouting trip and laid a goose egg on elk. They saw a lot of old sign but couldn't find any new. Im not expecting any GPS coordinates but could some shed some insight on maybe where they should concentrate. It is a first hunt for both of them and they only have 1 tag.

the res?
sorry maybe not constructive but when we hunted 23 it was popular among cows previously located in the unit. might check on those escape routes?

I agree. Without a lot of knowledge of the area, start at the res line and hunt back toward public land so you’re not chasing elk onto the res.
