Just posted this in campfire but I’am really excited. I hunted elk from 94 to 2012 until dad got old. It was all DIY in COs unit 421 with some success. Two bulls and 5 cows. Muzzleloader, bow and rifle. Killed a big bull in 08 and only got cow tags since. My youngest daughter and I are going this year, I am thinking first rifle season for cows. She is an accomplished deer hunter and is and will graduate with a wildlife biology/enforcement degree in December of 22. She will be moving out west at as soon as she graduates. Hope she will become my base camp for future hunts. We are thinking first rifle season for cows in 421. She is an accomplished hunter with some large whitetail under her belt. Altitude will not be a problem for her as she did the Colorado Trail solo in 29 days this last summer. Really hoping it works out.

First post but I’ve been reading a while
