I just finished building a wall unit in my home and the wife is happy so now I can start on my backcountry armoire!

Here is the wall unit

Here is a rendering of the cabinet when closed. There will be more detail when I build it

Here is the interior with four drawers. It will hold bow and guns on the bigger side and backpacking gear on the other

I know it doesn't look good on paper but it will nice when finished. The wall unit didn't look to pretty on paper either

Just a hobby and self taught. Learned from reading and Norm from the New Yankee Workshop. I know kinda dorky but i like woodworking. Over the years I've built myself a nice wood shop

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try and top that wall unit with this backcountry armoire. I'm going to build it with walnut and line the inside with cedar T&G. The drawers are going to be box joint and lined with black felt. Then finish with a Danish oil

Awesome! and you left room to upgrade the screen size for when the eyes start going bad.

What does your shop look like? I've been looking for ideas on how to set mine up!
