Hello Roksliders,
I am currently doing a stint in Antarctica. I would like to backpack New Zealand on my way back to the states. I am also moving to a more "hunter friendly" state when I get back. I have lived out west for some time now and havent gotten geared up. I now have the money and the means to buy a great backpacking setup. My question is, what are some of your thoughts of using a hunting setup for backpacking NZ, gear wise. I am looking at Initial Ascent pack, Cimirron tent, etc. Everything a hunt would require but Maybe not a leisure REI setup a typically country backpacking trip would look like. I am planning on backpacking for 3 weeks depending when I get out of here.
