Hey yall, looking for a compact tripod.
Criteria:
Sturdy.
Light.
Not full size.
Only use is for a spotting scope

I have a good full size pod for spotting scope. Looking for something lighter that will fit better in a pack. Will still hold a 85mm spotter from a seated position. Do not need a head. Just a tripod.

So many options. Any suggestions?

the Sirui T-024SK should fit that bill pretty well too; I removed the lowest set of legs as I found they weren't necessary for sitting (and shaved a little additional weight- they can go back on easily if needed)

I have been using the field optics research pro max for years and love it.
I especially like how I can use the legs as trekking poles when needed.

I just got a Slik Pro CF-635. Haven’t gotten the chance to use it in the field but it’s light and very sturdy compared to similar tripods I’ve used at a similar weight

I have an Outdoorsmans compact tripod with the pistol grip ball head I'm planning on listing. Only reason I'm selling is to buy a RRS shooting tripod. Also selling a Maven spotter for the same reason, for western hunts I'm a "brown jts down" guy and don't need the spotter
