The 212 is a bore rider and has no grooves. There is only about 1/4” of area that is actually 30 cal and it has to be in the neck of the case.

Thanks for all the examples! I want a bullet that holds together and it seems like the LRX does. I am also interested int the 181 grain hammer. Looks like an awesome bullet as well!

I've shot the 175 LRX, 190 LRX, and 181 hammers and all shoot very well but my personal favorite is the hammer bullets. If you can get over the extra cost, the hammer is extremely effective because it gets similar velocities as the 175 LRX with a BC of the 190 LRX. My 24" barrel had accuracy node about 250 fps faster with the hammer compared to the 190 LRX.

I've taken elk out to 650 with that combo. My buddy shoots the 175 LRX out of his 300 WSM and it always puts the elk down as well.
