Looking for a Barrett Fieldcraft .30-06. preferably very low round count. Or, if you can tell me a store that still has a new one in stock, I'll tell you where to find a new 6.5cm Fieldcraft.

you and me both. There was 1 available at a store online 1 month ago and I kick myself daily for not buying it. There are a bunch of 308 and 270 still available online. Good luck.

I've got an 06 and love it. Its very light and very accurate. With 180 handloads it also has pronounced jump and not insignificant (although by no means brutal) recoil. I'd think the 270 might be a great sweet spot for that rifle in the long action. With a stout 150 grain load there aren't many critters that would know the difference. Sure hope they produce them again someday although I'm far from confident. I'd sure like to add a 7mm-08 to my arsenal. Good luck!

this is why I just bought a 1/10 270. I don’t think the animals inside of 400 yds will know they difference. Mine came in on the heavy side and is right under 7lb scoped which actually balances great.
