What’s the price of a new NULA?

There is a fieldcraft going for over $3,000 on gunbroker
Minimum 3500, 12-24 month weight and non5/8th threading, so it is a matter of what is important. The non threaded FC are much less expensive.

You sure about the wait? I got mine in 4 months….

I Would think you could find a barrel maker that would do the 5/8-24 threads and Melvin would put it on for you?

It 14 months when I called. At the end of the day I didn’t order as they won do anything better than my field craft and I didn’t really need a .308:)

i have a .308 in 21 inch barrel, with a Swarovski Z5i scope.
With scope it weighs 6.5 lbs. Lightweight and precise.
It is my only hunting rifle.
I paid 1400 at the beginning of pandemic on GB.

I am having a go at a similar build, based on a blueprinted/accurized Model Seven action, NOS McMillan KS stock and a light sporter barrel.
7-08, 20 or 22" barrel.

Action, bolt, bolt fluting: $600
KS Stock: $225
Barrel: $175, + 350 for barrel work
Trigger: $150
That is 1500 already, and some good deals and lower price parts chosen.

I hope it ends up below 5.5lbs
