Do you bother carrying a small pan, oil, salt/pepper with you in the backcountry hoping to eat some of your kill if successful? What do you carry? Looking for minimal ideas. Thanks

I usually have some oil, seasoning salt, small foldable grill and some tin foil to be able to handle a few different scenarios for cooking n the field.

It Varies depending on the trip. fa Nd super light? Usually nothing. I actually am will to carry more cooking gear on a longer trip than a shorter one just for the sake of variety.

i usually have some kind of pot. I also tend to carry single packs of Tony chacheres seasoning, slat and pepper. I have a small backpacker titanium grill too. It is flat and light and it will come along on backpacking trips When there is a good chance of wild eats.

I've found the jet boil to be very handy cooking wild game while hunting. Oatmeal, or eggs with meat in the mornin. finish it off by washing it down with a cup of black coffee, ahhhhhh -bring on september!
